Being an army child gave Andrea a unique way of looking at the world. Traveling exposed her to the rich cultures and curious fairytales of the places she visited and lived. As an 'outsider', she learned to observe the world, and inspired by her Dad’s storytelling she dreamt of writing her own engaging storybooks.
Not one to follow the crowd, after leaving education, Andrea got ordained as a Buddhist nun and spent the next decade developing the skills of mindfulness and compassion.
Eventually tiring of the more and more, politically motivated monastic life , Andrea decided to pursue her talents and to develop her artistic practice. She obtained a degree in Art in the Community and began the journey of honing her skills as a writer and artist.
Andrea is a dedicated neurodivergent creative with no off button, and when not busy raising two amazing and talented humans, she is excited to be part of making the world a kinder, brighter and more magical place - one project at a time.
I am regularly asked questions about 'my process'. I have written a bit more about my 'behind the scenes' creative soul/process for these interested and curious types. (curiosity is the life blood of learning). To find out more, just press the 'my process' button'.
